When you head to Valemount in summer, don’t forget your golf clubs!
Go a round
Stop, adjust, breathe and then swing. You know it’s right when you feel and hear the connection. Watch that perfect shot sail high over the greens through that clear, mountain air. Lush forests form a frame around Valemount Pines Golf and RV Park, creating a quaint course perfect for hosting a company golf tournament, a family reunion or even a wedding. In spring it’s possible to snowmobile in the morning and golf in the afternoon — an ideal day by some standards. Valemount is the true adventurers playground, and the perfect place to spend a Robson Valley summer holiday.
Pitch in the Pines
Start the day with the game, fit a round in after lunch and watch the sun set brilliantly over the Cariboo Mountain Range as you make your final putt. Valemount Pines Golf and RV Park is a generous nine-hole, double tee course built in 1995 by a group of local volunteers.
The Gordon McKay designed course has everything — easy shots for beginners as well as sufficient challenge for those looking to improve. While the designer worked hard to make this a fun and dynamic course, with man-made lakes and rolling bunkers, he didn’t have to work to make it beautiful. Touched by the undulating forests at all sides, the course rests in a sweet spot — a valley surrounded by three spectacular mountain ranges. Sure, you’re here to golf, but take a moment to appreciate playing your favourite game while standing in the shadows of such incredible natural beauty.
