Valemount Public Library

Valemount Public Library encourages a spirit of learning and discovery by providing a safe and inclusive space, a broad range of resources in a variety of formats, equitable access to current technology, appealing and interesting programs, and welcoming and knowledgeable staff.

Valemount Public Library resides in a beautiful, locally built log cabin style building. Our collection is diverse and includes traditional books and magazines, as well as DVDs, CDs, snowshoes, outdoor games, board games, various technologies, puzzles, video games, and much more! We also provide printing, photocopying, and scanning services. Regular access to computer stations and 24/7 Wi-Fi is available to the public.

As a member of the North Central Library Federation and part of the BC OneCard program, the library can access materials from all over the province for our patrons through interlibrary connect loans and interlibrary loans.

Valemount Public Library is a fine-free library, meaning there are no fees for items returned late. Additionally, memberships are free to residents of the Robson Valley. Temporary and non-resident memberships are available for a fee. Patrons can access their accounts via our online catalogue to renew items and place holds. Libby, an electronic borrowing service, is available to library cardholders, as well.

The library’s website and Facebook page are good places to keep up to date with new items, announcements, programs, and special events!
