Get an up-close look at some of the incredible wildlife that calls our region home. Our nature and interpretive displays feature a grizzly bear, wolf, owls, salmon, antlers, and more, offering visitors of all ages an opportunity to learn about the animals, ecosystems, and natural history of the Robson Valley.
One of Valemount’s most remarkable natural attractions is the annual return of the Fraser River Chinook Salmon. Each year, these incredible fish complete an extraordinary journey from the Pacific Ocean to their spawning grounds. During the late summer salmon run, visitors can learn about their life cycle and visit nearby George Hicks Regional Park for a chance to witness spawning salmon firsthand.
