vALEfest 2026 POSTPONED

Due to the Provincial State of Emergency and the significant impacts wildfires are having on communities across British Columbia, particularly within the Thompson Okanagan region, Tourism Valemount Society has made the difficult decision to postpone the upcoming vALEfest 2026 Craft Beer and Music Festival.

While Valemount itself is not currently experiencing wildfire impacts, many communities throughout our broader region are being significantly affected. Our thoughts are with residents, evacuees, first responders, emergency personnel, and everyone working to protect people, property, and communities.

After discussion with our Board and community members involved in vALEfest, we strongly feel that our priority at this time should be supporting the Province and those communities impacted by the current wildfire situation. This includes ensuring that Valemount maintains as many available resources as possible should they be needed to support evacuees or emergency response efforts.
Rather than hosting a large event that would utilize local accommodations, services, volunteers, and other community resources, we believe it is important to preserve that capacity. Should the current situation worsen, available hotel rooms and other accommodations may be needed for evacuees, first responders, emergency personnel, support agencies, or others displaced by the fires.
We also recognize that tourism, travel, and event attendance are being affected throughout the region. Given the uncertainty of the current situation, postponing vALEfest is the responsible decision and allows our community to remain ready to assist wherever possible.
We sincerely thank our sponsors, performers, vendors, volunteers, partners, ticket holders, and community members for their understanding and continued support. Information regarding future plans, including potential rescheduling of vALEfest 2026, will be shared as soon as circumstances allow.
