The Valemount Public Library serves the Valemount Area and is a member of the North Central Library Federation.
The library is home to a collection of books, magazines, music CDs, DVDs, and audiobooks. Computer stations, Internet and Wi-fi access is available at no charge. Printing, copying and scanning service is provided.
Memberships for residents are free. Temporary or non-residents are charged a fee. Access to the library’s catalogue and your account is available online to renew items and place holds.
The library’s website http://valemount.bc.libraries.coop provides information on new arrivals and access to many online resources; Canadian newspapers, Auto repair, Consumer health, Encyclopedias, Independent films, magazines, audio and eBooks to name a few.
Books can also be requested from other libraries in BC through the Inter-library loan program.
One-to-one adult computer training, Children’s Summer Reading Club, Adult book club, and visiting author and presenters are hosted throughout the year.
A giant chess/checker set resides on the front lawn of the library and is available for use during regular library hours.
